A new racing simulation is being developed by game developer Image Space Incorporated, featuring "ultra realistic dynamics, an immersive sound enviroment and stunning graphics" (quote from rFactor's website). The game will be highly moddable, so the online racing community is sure to create some great projects. Already, the US Pits, (www.uspits.com) is already developing a mod for the game. The first game to be released will be "SR Grand Prix", a road racing simulation. Early feedback from the racing community has been strong, as many people are very excited about the new sim. There are sure to be quite a few racing leagues developed as a result of the game. News on a possible stock car mod for the game has been quiet, due to the fact that Electronic Arts has the marketing liscense for all Nascar games till 2007. However, all the remaining types of auto racing should keep the Nascar guys occupied till then. The website for rFactor is www.rfactor.net.
